Since 1998, the Cultural Advocacy Coalition has worked to advance arts and culture in Oregon by lobbying to preserve state funding for culture and working to strengthen the state’s cultural ecology by developing grassroots advocates and cultivating support for arts, heritage and the humanities in the Oregon Legislature.

As a part of the 2017 legislative agenda, the Coalition will lobby the legislature to fund Coalition-endorsed capital construction projects in the cultural sector.

Organizations interested in working with the Cultural Advocacy Coalition to request state matching support for a portion of project costs, are invited to submit a letter of interest to

Letter of interest, must include:
• overview of proposed project, estimated construction budget and timeline
• mission nexus – how the project relates to and furthers the organization’s mission
• brief information on the history, community context and budget of the organization
• contact information

The Coalition will use a committee process to review all letters of interest and will select a statewide complement of organizations for further review.

The timelines for the 2018 and 2019 sessions will be posted here when finalized.
