Following a ten-year hiatus, Governor Kate Brown announced two artists and three organizations as winners of the 2017 Governor’s Arts Awards.
Portland artist Arvie Smith and Yoncalla artist Esther Stutzman both won Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, Portland Opera and The James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation round out this year’s award recipients.
